Extra Meal Benefits in Response to the COVID-19 Health Emergency

June 24, 2020

Important information about Extra Meal Benefits in Response to the

COVID-19 Health Emergency-

Our school district qualifies and provides free and reduced meals to our students. Therefore, students in the Conneaut School District are eligible to receive a P-EBT card.  At least one child in your household will receive the P-EBT card.  You do not need to do anything to receive these benefits.

We are alerting you to keep an eye out for the card in the United States Postal Service mail or if you already receive a TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) cash assistance or a SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits, your P-EBT benefits will be deposited directly to your EBT card.  If you are not currently getting TANF or SNAP, you will receive a white P-EBT card. This pertains to every family in the District, whether currently receiving free and reduced meal benefits or not.

If PDE is able to identify the parent or guardian of children, the P-EBT card will be issued in the name of the parent or guardian, if not, the P-EBT card will be issued in the name of the oldest child.
